Pinellas Hope: Reducing Street Homelessness
“Pinellas Hope: Reducing Street Homelessness” is a report that provides detailed information about the first five months of the temporary shelter, makes recommendations and provides the first in-depth study of this facility, which continues to operate under the auspices of Catholic Charities.
The report evaluates the strengths and weaknesses of the program and captures important statistics regarding the residents and the usefulness of the services. This is the first of a two-part assessment. Since the success of homeless transition programs is measured by the long-term ability of its residents to maintain housing, Catholic Charities continues to track residents and report on their success for six months after they are placed. This data will be compiled in the second report.
