Appointed by Governor to position of County Commissioner.
   
1994-3/31/97 Provost-Special Programs/International Education-St. Petersburg College
Supervised International Travel/International Study programs, the College Reach Out Program, directed the Center of Excellence and McKnight Achievers Program, supervised the target recruitment efforts at the college, ITFS and the college’s television studios, JTPA funded programs, provided college wide administration for Project Success and was Director of the Florida/Japan Institute, the International Center and was a member of the President’s Cabinet.
   
1979-1994 Provost - Open Campus - St. Petersburg Junior College
Administration of the College’s Open Campus operation including the Corporate Training Program; the corporate Training Center at Carillon (management and computer training); Instructional Television (ITFS; Telecourses, and Teleconferencing); Continuing Education: Community Education; Distance Learning; Dual Credit; Extended Campus Credit; International Study; College for Kids; Minority Affairs; Applied Ethics and the President’s Cabinet.
   
1975-1979 Director - Programs for Special Students - St. Petersburg College
Planned and coordinated all programs and support services for the College’s disadvantaged handicapped and minority students. Supervised the program for the Deaf including the provision of interpreter and note-taker services.
   
1970-1975 Director - Student Community Services - St. Petersburg College
Planned and directed the College’s Outreach program including the supervision of the Colleges Outreach Centers, tutorial and study groups, minority and disadvantaged student recruitment, and served as student ombudsman.
   
1968-1970 Social Studies Instructor - Seminole High School
Provided classroom instruction in World History and Comparative Governments for senior level students.

1994-Present Doorways Mentor
2001 Began the first ever Youth Advisory Committee for Pinellas County Government.
2001 Expanded volunteer opportunities for county employees to include mentoring and tutoring.
2002 Created non-profit corporation to provide tutoring and other academic support services for
students in the Greenwood area.
