Important Update
On December 12, 2006 the Pinellas County Board of County Commissioners adopted Ordinance No. 06-89 establishing the Alderman Residential Rural Community Overlay within the Pinellas County Comprehensive Plan. This ordinance also established three Comprehensive Plan policies that support retention of the community's rural character and large-lot land use designation, which restricts density to one dwelling unit per two acres.
